I knew from a very early age that I wanted to help and assist people in their quest for wellness. Originally, I was interested in being a Physical Education teacher but ended up detouring into the healing profession as a chiropractor, graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, in 1981. After several years the opportunity arose to go back to school for Naturopathic Medicine. In 1989 I completed my studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I have been practicing in the health field for over 30 years. A chiropractic background, education in Naturopathic Medicine and the knowledge of Applied Kinesiology has given me the necessary tools and grounding to help my patients and clients recognize their healing potential.

Using a whole-body approach we help each individual in reaching their optimal state by providing natural approaches that assist in the un-layering and re-integration of their health.
I have been very involved in the community having coached soccer for over 11 years with the Peace Arch Soccer Club and the Semiahmoo Girls Soccer Club. I enjoy playing hockey, running, and skiing in my spare time.
My Journey to becoming a Naturopathic Physician began with a hardwired aspiration to be a difference maker in this world. I knew from even a young age that I could only ever be passionate about a career in which I would feel I was creating meaningful change for people and the world. I originally enrollled at the University of Western States chiropractic school in 2013. My father was a chiropractor before he became a Naturopathic Physician. While at the University of Western StatesI I went to my first Neuro Emotional Technique and Quantum Neurology Seminars with my Dad. It was so inspiring to finally learn these techniques that I had grown up with. Although I loved studying Chiropractic, I decided to transfer to the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine because it was apparent that I could more effectively engage with Neuro Emotional Technique and Quantum Neurology under a naturopathic license than under a Chiropractic license. When I began talking with Dr. William Russell about setting up a partnership at Semiahmoo Wellness, I knew this was the right clinic for me. We both choose to conduct our practices in accord with the holistic foundations of Naturopathic Medicine. Our brand acknowledges that the mind and body are not separate entities and thus health is best achieved when both must be addressed. When I’m not working at Semiahmoo wellness, I enjoy staying active and hanging out with my family and friends. You may find me out running, at the gym, road cycling or mountain biking. I also aim to go on at least one wilderness backpack trip a year. I’m also a hobbyist musician, I play several instruments including piano, guitar, keyboards and cello. I offer NEW solutions to your OLD pains and medical concerns. In general terms, my approach to restoring health is to rehabilitate the nervous system with regards to both mental and physical components. When the nervous system is strengthened, so is your body’s ability to heal! At the end of the day, it is ultimately the body that will heal itself, not medicine. Let’s get started on your journey to a greater state of health!
